Nestled at the foot of the dramatic West Maui Mountains, Wailuku is also the gateway to lush Iao Valley, once a sacred burial ground for Hawaiian chiefs and home to the iconic Iao Needle.

The oldest course in the Wailuku area is the Waiehu Golf Course opened in 1920. The longest course is Kapalua Golf Plantation Course, which is 7,411 yards. Waiehu Golf Course is rated the best course near Wailuku.

Wailuku offers a community of fine homes nestled against the eastern foothills of the West Maui Mountains. Many offer sweeping views of the city, harbor, and ocean, some with bi-coastal views. The higher elevation provides for cooler temperatures in addition to the sweeping views below. It’s 800 foot altitude comes with temperatures a few degrees cooler than at sea level.
